Clinical Indications in Orthopedic Trauma Dynamic Hip Screw for Dhs plate is indicated for trauma reconstruction and internal fixation of stable and unstable extracapsular proximal femur fractures:
-
Intertrochanteric Fractures: Stable 2-part and moderately unstable 3-part intertrochanteric fractures (AO/OTA 31-A1 and 31-A2.1).
-
Pertrochanteric Fractures: Trochanteric fractures treated in conjunction with standard or trochanteric stabilizing plates (TSP) to prevent lateral wall blow-out.
-
Basilar Neck Fractures: Extracapsular base-of-neck fractures requiring rigid axial guidance and angular stability.
-
High Intertrochanteric Osteotomies: Corrective femoral osteotomies for hip deformities, non-unions, or coxa vara realignment.
-
Pathological Trochanteric Fractures: Impending or completed fractures secondary to metastatic bone lesions where dynamic load-sharing is required.
